Always wash your face before bed! Your skin restores itself at night, so make sure it's super clean. Do we always do this? Nope. But we know we should.
Dermaplane. Yes or no? HELL YES! If you do nothing else, you must do this. This service removes the top layer of the epidermis and all that peach fuzz that makeup will enhance. Schedule with a professional or ask us! We know some amazing esthetician chicks!!
Lash extensions or strip lashes? Lash extensions are great if you are wanting them for every day, or for your wedding and honeymoon, etc. If you are only wanting lashes on your event date, then a strip lash is the way to go! It is very quick, less expensive, and always looks great- no matter how you slept the night before. If you insist on lash extensions, because you don't want to mess with a strip lash, then we highly recommend our very own, Ashlee, for this service.
Always make sure to groom your eyebrows before your makeup appointment. Shaped brows make a huge difference for the makeup application. Waxing or threading is best! If you need your brows waxed, just let us know! We offered this service! However, we do recommend that you get your brows waxed a day or two before your appointment, not the day of, for a flawless, makeup application.
Do your research! Make sure your inspiration photos that you bring with you are of girls with similar hair color, skin tone and eye shape. This will help you to envision the look more realistically.
Hair Tips!
Girl, wash your hair! We don't care what your mama and your grandma told you. The days of arriving to your hair appointment with dirty hair so it can be more easily styled are over! Clean and dry hair is best! If we need to add a little grit, we have products to do that.
Don't forget to schedule your routine cut and color. Hair maintenance is important. Remember to touch up your new growth and trim those split ends.
If you may want to add extensions to your style, schedule a consultation. We can find the right color, length, thickness, and technique.
Like your makeup inspiration photos, make sure your hair photos reflect your similar hair color, length, and texture, so you can envision the look more realistically
Don't like your ears to show in your hair style? Tell us! It's okay, you don't know how common that is.
Make sure you are prepared to show us a photo of what you'll be wearing for your event. Often, it's very easy for us to create a look for you based on the neckline, the style and color of your attire.
Don't forget about hair pieces. We have some beautiful pieces at our studio that look great in the hair (not just for brides)!
